Lousewies van der Laan is a progressive politician with wide experience in promoting democracy, human rights, including women’s and minority rights and international justice. A former MEP and currently vice-president of the Alliance of Liberals and Democrats for Europe (ALDE). She is also an avid Twitter user.

Lousewies van del Laan je progresivna političarka z bogatimi izkušnjami s področja promocije demokracije, človekovih pravic, vključno s pravicami žensk in manjšin, in mednarodnega prava. Nekdanja evropska poslanka, trenutno pa podpredsednica skupine Evropskega parlamenta ALDE – Zavezništva liberalcev in demokratov za Evropo, in aktivna tviterašica @LWvdLaan.

“If you look at where most of the money goes it goes to agricultural subsidies which is totally bizzare. 35% of the budget goes to 2% of the population.”
